This is a collaboration knife between Japanese outdoor knife manufacturer "Pond & Elephant" and KANESHIN. KANESHIN commissioned this manufacturer to create a grafting knife for bonsai trees.

Length: 210mm
Blade length: 70mm

This knife features an extremely thin blade for grafting, resulting in enhanced sharpness and significantly improved graft success rates. Furthermore, its exceptional rust resistance, even when exposed to sap and moisture, and its long-lasting sharpness are reasons why it's chosen by professionals.

This grafting knife utilizes "VG-10," Japan's highest-grade stainless steel, trusted by professionals worldwide. Being stainless steel, it is highly resistant to rust.

You can choose between right-handed and left-handed versions.

Steel: VG-10
Handle Material: Burmese Rosewood Burl (Chinese quince)
Bolt: Brass
Sheath: Kydex

* "VG-10" is a top-grade stainless steel developed by Takefu Special Steel Co., Ltd. in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture. It boasts a sharpness comparable to steel while being extremely rust-resistant, making it a popular material widely used by professional chefs and home cooks alike.

*What is "Burmese Rosewood Burl"?

Chinese quince is a broad-leaved tree belonging to the legume family, and is a very hard, sturdy, and high-quality wood.

Among its varieties, "burl grain" refers to a rare and highly valuable wood grain that can only be obtained from the "burls" (large knots) that rarely form on certain parts of the tree.

Chinese quince wood is extremely hard, heavy, and highly durable. It is resistant to scratches and develops a beautiful luster with polishing, making it widely used in high-end furniture, flooring, and musical instruments.

"Burmese Rosewood Burl" deepens in color over time, beautifully transforming into a rich, deep reddish-brown or purplish hue. A major appeal is that the more you use it, the more its luster and sheen increase, and the three-dimensional texture of the wood grain becomes more prominent.
