A *hikimawashi-nokogiri* (keyhole saw) is a small saw featuring a very narrow blade and a pointed tip, similar to an awl. Primarily used as a carpentry or DIY tool, it is designed for cutting holes in materials like wood or plasterboard, as well as for freely cutting out curves, circles, and complex shapes. Its narrow blade allows for easy changes in cutting direction while in use.
It is also suitable for bonsai maintenance; the slender blade can reach into tight, intricate areas.
